Dr. Astha Chauhan did her Master of Dental Surgery in Public Health Dentistry (Community Dentistry) from Sri Aurobindo College of Dentistry, Indore in 2016. She is a licensed tobacco cessation specialist from Indian Dental Association, Mumbai and a certified deaddiction counsellor from National Institute of Social Defence, Delhi. Her publications are in the areas of tobacco cessation and oral health, in national and international journals. From last three years, her work is centred on the field of tobacco cessation and oral health. She has an extensive experience of outreach programmes in different geographical regions in India and also had an exposure of working with national and international organizations including World Health Organization (WHO) As a de-addiction consultant, she has an association with government certified rehabilitation centres, conducted sessions on tobacco awareness and organized dental health camps (schools, colleges and underprivileged communities).
